In the last year, several well-known evangelical churches have shifted to become fully affirming of LGBTQI Christians. Most evangelicals are not yet in the same space, but the conversation around LGBTQI inclusion is increasingly opening up throughout much of evangelicalism, presenting opportunities and challenges on all sides of the conversation. Likewise, how do we understand LGBTQI identity? And with the increasing amount of violence against Trans* people, especially Trans* people of color, how is our movement absorbing this reality? Is it? Additionally, how is the #blacklivesmatter and #translivesmatter movement helping to disrupt current LGBTIQ politics and identities that allow for a proliferation of difference?
